AMERICANA WOOD BLOCK

I created this 'Americana Wood Block' using a variety of stars and stripes and good old Uncle Sam embellishments found on the internet.  It measures about 4"x 4".

I prepared the wood blocks by coating the corners with a coat of Gesso and then a coat of black acrylic paint.

I made templates for the sides and top using the backgrounds from a digital kit by Chicory Cottage.

The cluster on the top is a combination of the kit's elements and clusters from a Tim Holtz die call 'Tattered Florals".

This is the back.

...and there you have it.  Thanks for stopping by...

  1. What a great block--to enjoy as we approach Memorial Day, Flag Day and the 4th of July. Love it, Clareene--what GREAT Uncle Sam.
