ALTERED BOOK

     I made this 'Altered Book' as a holder for my Christmas cards.  The basic instructions for folding I got from a video by 'Owl House Designs'.  You can find that HERE.

There were about 300 pages in the book.  Finished size is about 8 1/2' x 12'.

I then went through my stash to see what I had to work with.

All the edges were burnished with 'Fired Brick' Distress Ink by Tim Holtz.

HOLIDAY TAGS TWO

Continuing on with the Holiday Tags, here's another group.   I chose the 'Holiday Hoopla' kit by Snickerdoodle Designs because these little elves are just too darn cute!  You can find that kit HERE.

I followed the same directions in the video by Kathy Clement.  You can find that video HERE.  As before, I made my tags smaller by using the ATC size Alphabet Banners by Graphic 45.

I chose my elements for cutting out from the kit and printed a sheet.

I also printed a sheet of polka dots to use in backgrounds behind the Elves.

Here's all the pieces cut out and ready for assembly.

HOLIDAY TAGS

     For the base of these cards I used Alphabet Banners - ATC size cards by Graphic 45.  Kathy Clement has a video using the larger sizes.  You can find that HERE.

     This is the front.  I used St. Nicholas paper collection from Graphic 45.  If you would like the smaller measurements just leave your email in the comment section below.

This is the back.

I cut out all the parts and elements first.  Then burnished all the edges with 'Gathered Twigs' Distress Ink by Tim Holtz.

PHOTO MINI ALBUM

     This 'Mini Album' measures 4" x  4" with a 2" spine.  I used the tutorial series by Ginger at 'My Sisters Scrapper' to make the album.  I altered the size.  You can find that HERE. 

     For the backgrounds and elements I used 'Highlands' kit by Snickerdoodle Designs.  You can find that HERE.  The templates for the background were 4" x 4".  Then cut down to fit pages.  The pages measure 3 1/2" x 3 7/8".

                            Sheet of page layouts and tags for the inside pocket of album.

     Tags are on the inside of front cover.  A place for a photo and a journal page that opens out.

     More pages that open out and lots of photo mats.  The mats measure 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" and the template for the photos themselves measures 3" x  3".

APRON BOX

     I used the BIGZ XL die from Sizzix.   Apron Box  was designed by Lori Whitlock for Sizzix. It measures 5" H x 4 1/4" W x  2 1/4" D.  It is filled with recipe cards that are 4" x  6". 
     The small roses are made with the 5 pedaled flower punch by 'ek' and glued onto end of paper clip.  

     
     Close up of chicken.  Touched up with fine glitter from Martha Steward.  Pattern is from a kit by Cheryl Seslar called 'Country Cluckers'.  You can find it HERE.  Grass is a die from Impression Obsession called 'Grass'.

CD MINI ALBUM

     A fun way to recycle old CD's.  I designed this Mini Album as a project for the Papers n' Pixels crafting group.  I used the 'Pass It On' kit from Snickerdoodle Designs.  You can find it HERE.  The flowers and pearls are from my stash.

I first made the templates using Photoshop Elements 15.  Then printed on Reflections cardstock from Michaels.

     I used Elmers Quick Bond glue and glued all the front and backs at the same time.  Then glued a doily onto each side.  Trimmed the edges and burnished with 'Gathered Twigs' Distress Ink by Tim Holtz.

Page 1 is a round folder held together with a ribbon.  Showing here opened and closed.

Page 2 is a simple photo mat.  The butterflies are a Stampin' Up punch.  I had printed up extra background pages to use for them.

Page 3 is another mat folder.  Shown opened and closed.

Page 4 is photo mat holder.  Shown with a close up of the mat.

     Page 5 is another photo mat holder.  Shown with a close up of the mat.

                              Page 6 is a journal card.  Shown with a close up of the card.

ALTERED PATRON BOTTLE

     Here's my 'Altered Patron Bottle' filled with my favorite candy, 'Candy Corn'.  The flowers are called 'Spoon Flowers' because I used a measuring spoon to get the extreme curve to the petals.  Becca Feeken has a fun video HERE if you'd like to make some.

     I pretty must followed her directions.  Loved blending the inks with water.

     I used 'Tattered Florals' die by Tim Holtz.

After forming the petals,  I hot glued a round blue glass marble in the center.

ONESIE MINI ALBUM TWO

     'Our Little Lamb' Onesie Mini Album was made exactly as the previous album.  The backgrounds and elements are from 'In The Meadow' kit by Nit Wit Collections.  You can find it HERE.  Size is also the same, 6 1/2'  x 6 1/2'.

     Two photos of pages 1 and 2.  The first is without the photo mats.  The second is with them.  Lots of fancy cutting! 

     The album is set up to be a 'First Year' of baby.  The small round cut outs are months one through twelve.  THAT is going to fill up fast! 

     And here's the back.  The envelope has a magnet closure and has an extra photo mat in it.  Also some strips of removable tape to hold photos in place...

ONESIE MINI ALBUM

     This is a 'Onesie Mini Album'.  It is about  6  1/2 " x  6  1/2".  The idea came from a video by Charlene Gibson.  You can find that HERE.  
     I traced a pattern from my computer screen.  Scanned and brought it into Photoshop Elements to size and print papers.
     I chose 'You Are A Masterpiece' by Snickerdoodle Designs for all the background papers and elements.  You can find that kit HERE.

     I cut the basic shapes out of left over cereal boxes.  For adhesive I brushed on Mod Podge.

     This is what the printing page looks like before I cut everything out.

     The photo mat is printed right on with the page background.  It measures 3" x  3 1/2".  The elements are sized to fit around photo mat and fancy cut out.  All the edges are burnished with 'Gathered Twigs' Distressed Ink by Tim Holtz.

     The elements are attached around photo mat using pop up dots so the pics can set inside and under the elements.  Pic template will measure 2 1/2" x  3".

     I accented the elements with different sized pearls and rhinestones.

     And here's the back.  Word art is made with alpha's from 'Cottage Garden' kit.  I don't know the designer.  I used 2" O-rings and added a bow with complimentary colors.
