This 'Cheshire Cat' is my entry for the March Madness Challenge at Frilly and Funkie Blog. The theme is Alice In Wonderland and we were to make a project with one of our favorite characters. Challenge information can be found HERE.
I started with a section of a tree limb from the backyard.
I then attached it to a section cut out of a larger branch to make the base.
Then I just started attaching all the leaves and vines I cut from various floral and leaf dies. The speech bubble reads: I'm not crazy...my reality is just different than yours!
This is the image I started with for the cat. I brought it into Photoshop Elements 18 and recolored it.
Close up of my Cheshire Cat hiding in the tree. I used Wink of Stella on the teeth to make them glossy.
Here's the backside. Completed project measures about 8 1/2" x 8 1/2".
PS...I am so happy to announce that on Monday, April 15, my 'Cheshire Cat' was chosen as the winning entry! As the winner I will be the 'Guest Designer' at Frilly & Funkie Challenge Blog on Thursday, May 9th. I'm so excited. I hope you all will come to see what the theme will be for the May Challenge and join in the fun...
...Thanks for stopping by...
