'COUNT ME IN' CHALLENGE

'Frilly and Funkie' is sponsoring a challenge that wants 'numbers' to be used in the project.  I have chosen to create this 'Wookey House' made with wood blocks.  They are not always perfectly shaped...but always fun!
If you would like to join in on the fun and a chance to win a $25 spending spree at 'Frilly and Funkie' you can find information HERE.

I started with cutting my blocks of wood in the shape of a house.

I used Gesso to paint all the edges and covered that up with black water based paint.

Using Mod Podge, I attached cardstock weight paper to the pieces.  The base is setting up on four round wooden pegs.

The Bingo themed elements and signs came from clip art on the internet.  I burnished all the edges with Tim Holtz Fired Brick and Crushed Olive Distress Inks.

This is a close up of the chimney and it's 'Bingo Cage'.

                                                                One side of the House.

This is the back of House and the other side as well.  I used 'Tiny Tattered Florals' die by Tim Holtz for the patches of grass and 'Grass' die from Impression Obsession for the long grass.

CD MINI ALBUM

This is a mini photo album made using regular clear plastic CD covers.  There is a video by Joann on how to make this HERE.  I followed all her instructions for construction but my template measurements are a little different.  The 'new document' measurements in Elements only set up in 1/4" increments.  So I did some trimming of templates before attaching them.

I used scissors for cutting out all templates.  I burnished all the edges with Distress Ink Gathering Twigs by Tim Holtz.

I placed my cover on the top of CD.  In place of 'gift card' page that Joann made, I made a page for the back of inside front with a sentiment from the collection.  I chose the digital kit 'Love Yourself' by Karen at Snickerdoodle Designs.  You can find that kit HERE.

I used Stampin' Up cardstock 'Vanilla' for the photo mat pages.  Again burnishing all edges and score lines.

Here's the back of Album.  This back page is mounted on the outside.

Template measurements for Element users:  (Be sure to trim to fit before gluing onto CD)
Front Cover:  Cut one at 5"wide x 4.75" high
Inside Back Cover:  Cut one at  6" wide x 4.5 " (Score 1/4" from both ends)
Back of Inside Front: Cut one at  5" wide x 4. 75 high
Photo Pages:  Cut 2 pieces of 4" x  12" card stock (Score at 4" and 8")
Mat:  Cut one at 4.25" x  4.25" (This is placed in the middle of inside back cover)
Back Outside Cover: Cut one at  5.5"wide x 4.75" high
Photo mats:  Cut 9 at  3.75"x 3.75" (Mount these mats onto card stock squares before attaching to Album.

ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD BOX

Using the Envelope Punch Board by We 'R' Memory Keepers I made this little 'treat'
box.  It measures 3 1/2" x 3" and is 1 1/2" thick.  There is a very helpful video HERE.
All the edges are burnished with Gathered Twigs ink by Tim Holtz.

I packaged up cookies for this 'treat'.  The belly bands decoration is made with Nesting Scallops die also from We 'R' Memory Keepers.

Cookies all tucked in and ready to go.

PICTURE FRAME

Picture frame made of wood and scrapes of paper.  It was really designed around a clip art image I found of this darling 'sleepy eyed' owl.  Where else? ... on Pinterest.  Finished measurements are 7 3/4" tall x 4 3/4" wide.
The flowers are made by using a five petaled punch by 'ek'.  They are then burnished with Brocade Blue ink from Stampin' Up and mounted on floral wire.  Then set in holes drilled in wood.

Wood pieces are old rubber stamps.  I just prided the rubber stamp piece off and covered the blocks with scrapes of paper.  The photo mat was run through an embossing folder.
The various clumps of flowers, stars and grass were made using five different dies:   Tiny Tattered Florals by Tim Holtz, Grass by Impression Obsession, Make a Wish by Spellbinders and Stars by Stampin' Up.

Close up of clip art.  I cut out two and glued them together, burnished the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and mounted on floral wire.  It sets in a hole drilled into the top of wood.

Close up of owl image on the bottom.

TWIST-n-POP CARD

This is my 'New Years' Twist-n-Pop card.  It measures 4"x 6" and is shown here with a matching belly band.

Basic card is made by following the directions from a video by Collette Mitrega.  You can see that HERE.

This is the inside of the card.  I chose digital kit 'Celebrate Life' by Snickerdoodle Designs to create the various panels.  You can find that kit HERE.

The four Pop-Out panels were designed on panels measuring  2 1/2" x  3 1/2"  and then cut down to  2 3/8" x  3 3/8" to fit sections on card.  The card front measures about 3 1/2" x  5 1/2".  Both were printed on glossy photo paper.

Front and back covers are designed on 4" x  6"  panels and then cut down to fit card base.  Printed on Stampin' Up card stock.  I burnished all the edges with Distress Ink Black Soot by Tim Holtz.

Belly band measures about 1 1/2" x 10 1/2" and was printed using glossy photo paper.  Again, the edges were burnished with Black Soot.

Various sized butterflies from kit measure 1 1/2" to 3".

ALTERED TISSUE BOX

This altered tissue box measures 4 1/4" wide x 4 3/4" tall with the ends measuring 4 1/4" x 4 1/4".  I chose digital kit 'Celebrate Life' by Snickerdoodle Designs because of all the great journaling cards.  You can get that kit HERE.

I began by making panels with the measurements from above.  After cutting them all out, I burnished the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

I painted the edges with Gesso.  Let it dry and then painted with black water based paint.

I made a template for the top by tracing around the edges.

Here are the other three sides.

ALTERED TISSUES BOX

Just getting over a cold.  I thought my tissue box was too boring.  So I altered it!  This box measures 4 1/4" wide x 4 3/4" tall with ends measuring 4 1/4" x 4 1/4".

I made panels using the above measurements.  I chose a digital kit by Snickerdoodle Designs called 'Winters Frost'.  You can find that kit HERE

.

I made a template for the top by removing the pull tab and tracing around the edges.

I burnished all the edges with Brocade Blue ink from Stampin' Up.

These are the other three panels.
